When my lutino oscar was about 6" she managed to get half my index finger down her throat. It didn't hurt but she wasn't actually trying to bite me (she was going for a pellet & missed).

That being said, oscars can draw blood. I know of a few people it's happened to.

I was bit by an 11" albino tiger oscar... and it hurt. There were two of them, a mated pair. Those things can bite pretty damn hard when they want to. I asked for it though, and the LFS worker agreed to that.

Umm, I taunted her. Stuck my finger over the tank a few times to see what she would do...
