Does your kitty do this?

I have had more than one kitty that would sit, look up at a wall and meow.

My daughter and I were discussing this and she's trying to tell me that's because we have ghosts in the house. I keep telling her that kitties just do this and it has nothing to do with ghosts.

So, has any of your kitties done this? Do you think is a normal thing for kitties to do?

Hi. Yes, all of my cats have done this too. Often it's because there is a little bug way up high that they see, but can't get. A few times when I went to try and find what they were looking at it turned out to be a dark spot on the wall/ceiling. Perhaps they thought it was a bug?

Kyrre has done this a couple of times, and like Chessmind said he has been looking at bugs, nails or something else out of his reach

yeah..both cats do that. sometimes it scares me because there is nothing on the wall and they are both staring at the same place at the same time. Maybe they see things we dont..

LOL. Mine looks at a painting of a chocolate lab on the wall and meows because he thinks it is his buddy, my black lab/pit mix and he wants him to come down and play.

Especially when she hears a strange noise..
Its soooo cute..

Some of mine do this occassionally. A few times I've actually discovered a small bug that they were looking at other times I couldn't find anything.

Yeah, cats do that. You never know, sometimes something attracts their attention. A bug, a shadow... Ghosts!!! LOL A long time ago I had a statue of a Jaguar (not full size but big. Maybe 3ish feet tall) that my cat would hiss, spit and everything else at. Good thing for him it wasn't real huh. Would have been his last hiss.
