Our newest kitty, Rusty, has grown a ton in the in the 2 months that we've had him and I've finally gotten around to taking some new pics. He's going to be absolutely HUGE (think he's a maine coon). He's only 6 month sold and is almost as big as Romeo (2 1/2 year old, almost full grown turkish van - anohter largish breed). Click for bigger pic:

Thanks. Very Happy

We were at the animal shelter the other day dropping off some cat food and none of their 5 -6 month old kitties were anywhere near as big as Rusty is. But what's odd is he still has such a little kitten look so you don't realize how big he is until you see him next to another cat.

Thanks. Very Happy

It's funny. We were so worried about the boy cats getting along. We started off with Romeo and when Ghost started showing up around our house we were really debating about if we'd be able to keep him or not because we thought 2 male cats would be really prone to fighting, but they ended up getting along great. Then when we were looking for another kitten, we were looking more at the females becasue we figured 3 males in one house was just asking for trouble, but we fell in love with Rusty anyway. And really, our 3 boys get along better than our girls. The girls are both a bit antisocial and if one of the other cats gets too close, they get swatted. But the boys pounce, tumble, and play with eachother all the time.

Oh, and we took rusty to the vet last week to get microchipped and a quick looking over. He weighed 7lbs 5oz. His eyes still get runny when he's upset, though. This is the 2nd vet that's seen him for it and he doesn't know what's causing it either. His eyes aren't red or inflamed and it's just a clear discharge so it's not an infection. The only thing we can think of is maybe allergies. It doesn't really bother him, though; we just wipe his face and clean it up about once or twice a day.

i agree...it seems like females are a little more finicky. even when kimmie the little foster kitty came, my boys were great with her. she was adorable. jumping on all of them...pinning them down. this tiny little kitten trying to control them. they just rolled with the flow. christopher was the funniest. when she pinned him down he would just lay there loving every minute of it.
