Have you heard or seen anything like this before?
WOW...My girl dropped them 3 days ago..She was known to have litters of 9+ (last two litters) this is her 3 litter and I heard the 3rd is always the best. How ture is that?

Congratulations on the new arrivals.....
When did she have her last litter as usually if you breed a dog on her next cycle after a litter then the litter size is usually higher.... |

Thanks...She's 4 years old and only had 3 litters.
I'm thinking these pups are going to be HUGH Monsters..

Looking at the dogs on your website i would say they will be big dogs..
If she is only 4 and has had three litters that means she must have been bred on each cycle.
Dont take this the wrong way but the dam should be 2years old before breeding and she never be bred on each cycle.
My girls ( GSDs ) only ever had 1 litter a year...
I would not let your girl have another litter until the second heat after this litter that will give her body time to recover.
You should also not breed her after the age of 6 some people go to 8 years, I used to let them till 8 but then thought must be alot of strain on them so with a lot of research decided 6 years is the best time to stop...
I love pups i bet there going to be a handful, If they are fast growers i would suggest starting them on solidfood such as boiled oats mixed with some whelpi or lactol as soon as there eyes open but still allow them access to there mother this will help take some of the burden off her, As the quicker and larger the pups get the more demand they are putting on her, Also increase her food with more protien and fats to help keep her weight up and for her body to keep up with the demand of the little ones..

I'm not certain why they are so long, maybe it is their structure and they will be too long and not square as adults. It just depends on their genes. They may also change as they grow, sometimes they might seem really long or really short and the body is growing at different times.

I'm not sure where you heard that but it isn't at all true. Which litter is the best depends on what sire she is bred to and what genes she gives the pups in that litter. So it could be 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th just depends, there is no reasoning to believing a females 3rd litter would be better then any previous or future litters.

I'm very sorry for your girl and any one that is overbred, its sad people don't care what they do to their animals. Its true charm a female shouldn't be bred until 2yrs old a lot of people don't know about proper breeding practices. You are right that she may have been bred every heat since 2yrs, but another possibility is people who breed them as pups on 1st or 2nd heat, she could have had a litter at 1yr and then at 2 or 3 and now at 4. She could have also been skipped on heats since 2yrs, then skipped one and bred at 3yrs then skipped one and bred at 4yrs. I really don't understand people that misuse their dogs like this, just to pop out pups. Its a sad world we live in. How sick is it to see 4yrs and ONLY had 3 litters, thats a lot for an only 4yr old female. Most 4yrs old females only have had 1-2 litters and won't be being bred every heat cycle or every year. Depending on what age they were when they were first bred and what they produced.

That may be true, the dogs on your page look out of standard, overly large and overdone. So they will probably end up looking like their parents, thats a no brainer.
Charm gave good advice, so I will add to that also wouldn't recommend breeding blue to blue as this continuly breeding blue x blue will bring about health problems with skin issues, allergies and weak immune systems. It can lead to further washed out pigment, since it is a caused by dilution. Breeding back to black is how to keep the line healthy as well as bringing in dogs of other bloodlines who are black or other colors. |
