My little girl, 7 yrs, about this time, of yr, she starts itching, esp her forehead. In fact, its all bloody and almost bald in spots.

(She has a lot of dandruff, on her body and I just need to brush her more).

Anyone know of any oils, I can put on her coat.. or IN her? lol

She doesn't have ear mites, I've even tried putting mineral oil/aloe vera,
in her ears, w/ a Q Tip, this has worked before, as she may be scratching bc her ears itch? or its her forehead.. not sure.

Also, just this night, I've noticed she's been sleeping w/ her eyes open..kinda freaks me out! lol.. should i be worried at all? just wondering.

Thanks~

Hi and welcome to Auspet. Very Happy Have you taken her to a vet for an exam? If so what did they say (especially about her ears)? Unless a vet has instructed to do so, it's not a good idea to put anything in or near the ear canal. Also what flea/tick product are you using?

For her dry skin I am a personal believer that you are what you eat and I have seen for myself how much a cats skin and coat improve with good, quality cat food. My advice would be to call around to your local pet shops and see if they carry Wellness soft food (very important as it has a high water content) and dry food and start giving her this. You will definitely see a big improvement in her skin and fur after 2 weeks. I also recommend the Zoom Groom brush (around $10 dollars).

Do you have any pics of her?
