Ok so when i got mi HUGE pleco a little itty bitty baby snail was in the bag too. the only problem is it's a baby snail and i don't know anything of it's needs. i don't know what type it is, if it only eats algae, if i get a frog will it eat it like a apple snail, when will it need a new shell.
the only thing i know is that it's shell is tan with brown very small dots, like a spotted catfish, and is about 2 or 3 cent. long. PLZ HELP
on a side note will mi spotted catfish eat mi other fish because it looks like it's trying to bite them we just don't know! |

I would look around at pictures on the internet and try to figure out exactly what kind of snail it is. Some will multiply like crazy (even if you just have one) and your tank will quickly become overrun with snails. Short of completely tearing down the tank, bleaching everything and starting from scratch, they're nearly impossible to get rid of. Of course there are others that don't breed that readily and will be fine. So you really should figure out exactly what you have.

Yeah, fish might eat some eggs & maybe some of the baby snails.
