Pet Stores, Groomers, Boutiques??

Hi ONCE again lol, I guess I should take a poll maybe?? do dog groomers,pet stores, etc.. like a TON of different doggie bisquits or just a few to start them off on and give them a order form??
I would like to deliver some stuff off but not sure how to go about it,, I did however take a tin bucket, "Small" and filled it with Bow Wow Chickeny Biscuits, Bow Wow Beefy Biscuits, Happy Hound Hearts half dipped in Carob, Nutty Mutt Crunchers.. and some Nutty Mutt Crunchers Dipped in Carob also... I put two in a bag "small" cellophane and than gave them a brochure.. had my name and number on in case they wanted to call, but as of yet "NO CALLS", I also took one of the above to my Feed Store More or less as a gift, hoping that they will like what they see and call to make an order..
Am I doing this right?? how do I go about enticing these people to order? The Groomers down the road were excited and said, Hey so and so has never called back... and was very excited that I went in with the treats, So I'm assuming that "So and So" was a baker herself...
Thanks for ANY advice I SO want to take this and go somwhere.. ALSO has anyone sold the Dog Treats In a Jar? where they "the customer" makes their own treats, you just supply them with the batter mix... if so how much do you sell them for, See I own a paint your own pottery Studio and I made Made and Painted a Mason Jar Lid with a small dog bone attached to the top "glazed on so it will last forever" and on the bone wrote "Woof" and painted paw prints going around the rim, and than I painted a bigger bone, which it say's "Bone Appetit" and hung it around the rim of the jar with that raffia stuff and than finally attached a dog bone cookie cutter.. so am wondering how to price these things..

I think groomers are a great idea. and about shelf life, that book dukesdad posted should be a good idea. that cellohpnane bags is a great idea. And those treats sound so yummy. Can you make up like a a nice display box of them for individal retail. show whats in them and the price. go the store and say Please give these a try for sale. the retaill price is ie $3.00 your cost is $1.50, you sell 12 and your profit is $18. you have to sell yourself, and explain how to make it worth their while.

my dogs love these and I dont see preservatives in the ingredients. I buy them at my vet, they are in a big plastic container for $6.00 they do have 2 bay leaves in them I am not sure if that helps keeo them fresh.
