I have a 2 year old male cockatiel is i wrong if I don't breed him?? And if I get him a "girlfriend" will his love toward me fade and go all to her? Will he not be mommy's little bird any longer???

Hi, You do not have to breed any animal.
If you get a female and put her in the same cage you will eventually get eggs as even though there will be no nest box they will still breed and she will just lay them on the cage floor.

You can put 2 males or 2 females in a cage together and they will not fight plus dont have to worry about eggs, That said 2 females in a cage together will produce eggs but these will not be fertile since there would be no male to fertilise them.

Once you get a friend for your male he may prefer to stay with the other bird all the time rather than being out with you.

If the new bird is hand tame and friendly then you have twice the fun as they will both come and sit with you.
