|
|
Here's Soda, she's our four month old Shih-poo, and she's brought a whole new level of love (and stress *g*) to our lives.
Here's the "stress" part
Also - every once in a while (like every three-four days) my puppy will throw up or her stomach will make gurgling sounds and she won't feel like eating for hours! Any idea what this can be? I don't know if it's the food since she seems to eat it fine for a time, but then suddenly she gets like this. We are in the process of switching her over anyway, but could it be something else?
Thanks! |

What a cutie. Makes you wonder how someting so small can make that big of a mess!
Does she have a certain time that she does this. I know with Rocky if he eats too late he gets queasy and will sometimes throw up. |

| Maybe you could try snacks inbetween meals, so's to keep the tummy from being to acidic. Is she throwing up yellowish stuff? If she is that is the bile in her stomache. Try snacks. Natural is best, no preservatives or dyes that can cause allergies. |

More often than not it will be in the morning time. She'll go to bed fine and then she'll wake up and won't be very active, have a rumbly tummy, and be disinterested in her food. Then around 4/5 in the afternoon, the rumbling will go away and she'll be back to her regular self again.
It's all very distressing :S We won't be able to switch her completely over to the new food for a couple of days yet, but I'm hoping when we do this problem will go away.
Thanks so much for responding!

We give her snacks in between meals of kibble (taken out of her regular diet) or the Kong peanut butter biscuits (but never more than around two a day). Occasionally she'll get a milk bone as well.
She throws up whitish stuff sometimes, but sometimes it's food as well, looking like oatmeal.
Poor puppy She always seems so miserable when she gets like this.
Thanks for the response! |

| She may have a dietary intollerance to something she's eating. If you only give Milkbones occasionally, and she's only having occasional tummy trouble, it might be the Milkbones. Stop using them for a while and see if the problem clears up. |
