Most plecos love algeae waffers. I would recommend "Hikari Algae waffers", my friends use em and not only the plecos eat them, other fish also enjoy them. (exuse my spelling)

You mean something like hair algae from a pond? If it's a natural/wild pond, I wouldn't try it because you never know what kinds of nasties could be living in the algae. I have a goldfish pond and I've often thought about drying some of the algae from it to feed to my plecos, but I never got around to doing it so I'm not sure if it would hurt any or not.
