When you talk about two giants like the jaguar (managua) maximum size 12 inches.....and the green terror maximum size 10 inches, you have got to be careful. It's tough to place these large fish in a 55 and keep them healthy, regardless of the filtration type. I think that at least a 75 gallon would be better and a 110 would be great. These fishes are pretty grouchy, especially the terror, and you need to make sure that they get along first.
Hope that helps and good luck!
