well, i was at petsmart and to make a long story short they had a few of these guys mislabeled as "cichlasoma sajica" and i knew otherwise, so i vented this one and from what i saw its a female (just what i was looking for). here are some pics about 3 hours after i broguht her home yesterday, so she is still a little stressed. her color will intensify........at FHUSA the people i have talked to said she is a really nice kamfa, possibly even a RS, so i got her for such a steal (only $10 and she is 3" tip to tip) she also appears to be getting ready to fade, with some edgings of her fins turning black..........here are a few pics....

i only took a minute to rake pictures too, so they are not good quality....

so, what do you think of her?
