Sorry I am posting so much. Embarassed But, I have a question on what you guys think.. I had a puppy that had passed away When she was about 7 months old and ever since we had lost her we have been trying to find one like her as close as possible how hard do you think it would be to find a brindle that looks like her (she had no white on her at all). There are pictures below.

We never really got to get a really good picture of her coloring. It was really hard because the way she would stand would effect the picture and the way the sun was..But she was a very beautifully marked brindle

Sorry about your loss. Beautiful dog. How come she passed away?
I guess the only way to find one that looks like her would be to visit the shelters or breeders.
If its just the brindle markings you love I would think it shouldnt be too hard to find one, might take a little time, if its that you want another pup just like this one....I know how you feel, Ive had pets that have died and I want another just like that one, colour, marking, personality, it never happens though, there will always be something different about your new dog. Each dog is an individual with their own personalities and for me, while I still miss my dogs, one in particular that died about 12 years ago, another I lost 18 months ago, I'd give anything to have dogs just like the 2 of them but Im content knowing that they will always have a special place in my heart and theres still plenty of room for others that come along.

Well we were babysitting a friends Pit and they got along pretty well they had one incident but was caused by the neighbor kids...Well i had to leave one day for alittle while and it was in the morning so i needed to put the dogs out and was a nice day and i had to leave cause my ride had come and they werent out very long and it was a school day and i didnt see the neighbor kids so i thought they would be fine since i was going to be back soon...Well here the neighbor kids never went to school that day and they ended up teasing the puppy and the dog we were watching went after her and hurt her very bad (if you know what i mean)..My mutt dog that we have tried to help the puppy but it didnt work so the mutt dog hid under car and my other neighbor was trying to get the dog off the puppy but wasnt much he could do cause of the fence. So thats how she passed away. We know we aint going to find with a personality anywhere close to hers but i just want more the color and markings..all the brindles we see around here have white on them..We got sadie from a rescue shelter in ohio we have checked around the one were we got her at and we have checked around us and no luck so far..We might get some luck on getting a puppy her color if these people we knows litter comes out how they expect but going to have to wait till may and then there is the possibility that she wont have a brindle..Sorry about your losses I have only lost one dog but know i will lose more...Sorry so long.

Ahhh so sorry for your loss... Might think about in the future keeping all pits separate from other pits/dog/animals when they can't be supervised no matter what... Classic example of "They got along until"... when you're not there you can't control the situation and neighbor kids or not...could have been ANYTHING that could trigger that behavior in a pit specifically...

TOUGH loss no doubt and I hope you can find another like her... Brindle isn't so hard to find and if you know her breeding you could probably get one VERY similar from the same breeder or at least bloodlines. IF and WHEN you find one...be sure to post pics... I for one LOVE them and feel they are mandatory around here...

Yea thats how we were doing things (supervising) and i think about it everyday if i wasnt in such a hurry then it wouldnt of happened because i would of put them in there crates while gone..I always get mad at myself cause that was my sons dog they were born in the same week so they would of turned one together and she was so great cause eventhough she was a puppy she was very calm when around my son and would always be next to his side if you seen in the one picture were she laid on his lap and fell asleep when we were outside..They had a bond together ever since the day we went and picked her up my son was with us and she was so perfect around him and gave him a kiss thats when we knew that was his puppy Very Happy..I love brindles too and i will definitly post if i find one or get one like her But we are hoping so much that the litter we are waiting on has one in it.

Had to use your story as an opportunity to get other people who may be reading as well to understand that the practice to ensure it never happens is better than thinking it probably won't... I understand your guilt and it will pass and has tought you and many others a few things about multiple pit bull ownership/husbandry...

I'll be thinking of you and hoping along with you that you get another just like her in this next litter... If they are closely related the odds are in your favor! Hope we have good news soon about this for everyone's sake...

It's tough losing a dog no matter what the circumstances are...and Guilt is also part of the Greiving process...don't get to overboard though and keep your chin up... I don't think anyone here blames you...things happen and it was an accident none-the-less.

If you're just looking for a brindle with not white, that should be pretty easy to find. I'm not sure what area you're in, but pbrc.net and pet finder.com always have lots of pits needing homes.

here's a couple brindles I found in just a short little search

Brindle, black and white seem to be the strogest color genes, so im sure it will be very easy. The pup looked like a Mahogony(sp?) Brindle, rather than the standard black brindle. Pictures can be misleading though.

pitlover, first I would like to say, I'm sorry for your loss. I've talked to people just like you who have had their dogs killed or injured by leaving them together alone unattended. Even though my 2 pits are totally devoted to one another and I can't imagine them even hurting one another let alone killing each other, they are always separated when I'm not there to monitor them.

Though I feel that you will never find another one exactly like the one you lost, you will find one that you will fall in love with just the same. I have a brindle name Reese and I feel he's is a one of a kind. Even though you might find one that looks similar, it will have it's own distinct personality.

Thank you for your help and advise.. I have alittle more hope now that we will atleast get one somewhat close even if just color..Were i live you would never know brindles exsist people here were amazed by her cause they never saw a brindle around here..thats why i had very little hope but know that i see there are alot.. But, we just found out that the parents of the female dog are Father-Brindle Mother-white with little bit of black....the female that is pregnant is white and the father is black with white on chest...so hopefully Grandpas color comes through for us

One thing to remember is that Brindle is Dominant so Grandpa's gene's should come through if there's enough there... if there's less of the recessive lighter color...it's VERY possible!

I think it should be very easy to find a dog that looks like her, simple solid (near solid at least) brindle of the same color shouldn't be too hard. Looks close to my dogs sisters tone. Well they were all brindle except for one and the parents were brindle, but brindles come in different colors.
