I am new to the baby business and I need to know if nibbling (biting) is normal for a 9 month old baby? If not, can anyone fill me in on how I can stop this habit? Thanks for your help.

Its very normal! All young horses try to nip and bite. Its a bad habit, and needs to be nipped in the bud. Work around the filly with your elbows pointed up, and she'll accidentally "run into" your elbow. You won't have to do a thing, and risk making her head shy. Very convenient!
