Hi Everyone:
Happy Holidays.
Today, my husband and I put up the Christmas tree.
This is the first year in three years that we have decided to try to put up the tree.
Every year, we have the same problem with the dogs peeing up the tree?
I don't understand it, we have a FAKE tree! Our daughter has asthma and is allergic to real trees in the house.
Then the cats climb the tree, all the ornaments break (some were my mothers who has passed away and were keepsake) blah blah blah. Well,
Walmart had a great sale on 6ft. pre-lit tree's for $32.00 so had to give it a try!
We just finished putting it up. It looks very nice even without ornaments yet.
I am going to the local craft shop tomorrow and get ribbon, make old fashion rag ball decorations and get some plastic decorations. I am going to try to make a victorial/country tree look.
Does anyone else have this problem?
Any suggestions?

Zoe knocked our tree over the day after we put it up... We put the tree up in front of her favorite window and I think she was trying to see out and she tipped the tree over. Of course some ordiments broke and it was a pain to put back up. I haven't noticed her peeing on the tree and it is a live tree, I hope that isn't next. The only thing we can do is not leave her unattended around the tree. I know this isn't much help but Im sure alot of people have this problem so maybe we can get some tips. Good Luck

| I've never had any of my dogs try to pee on the tree ( we have a fake one too) but I know some members in the cat forum have cats that climb the tree (I believe that one eer knocked the tree over). Luckily neiither Rocky or Max paid any attention to the tree, except Rocky likes to seee if there's anything under it for him. |
