Hi, I got a new lawn put in about a month and half ago, there is still a fence around it so the dogs cant go on it for now. However when i was watering it this morning I noticed a lot of mushrooms growing on it, should i remove them before the fence gets taken out, are they bad for dogs? Thanks

| Yes very bad. Get them up as soon as possible. When i was little I don't 6 or 7 we had an abandoned litter of Dalmation puppies and there were mushrooms growing in the back yard . Well we did'nt think any thing of the mushrooms assuming they would'nt eat them but they did. There were 10 puppies and 8 of the ten had to be hospitalized because of this the worst was a little female named Angel she had to be on a IV and everthing and we almost lost her. I can't remember exactly what the poison in the mushrooms do to dogs but it is deadly. If i were you i would get all of them up by their roots and maybe put something down to make sure they don't come back but don't kill your new grass. |

| Agreed. I believe they are toxic. I was just watching emergency vets and their were three Corgie pups brought in having seizures that they thought might have been caused by something toxic that they ate in the yard... mushroom toxicity was one possible cause. |

This is an ad from your national drug council, Never give anyone or anything mushrooms and/or grass. These are very dangerous and illegal drugs. If seem please report to your local police immediately.
(Just kidding I just had to wite something bc you said mushrooms & grass)
But I think it is bad to have mushrooms, it is best to get them out |

| I think some are harmless and others are poisonous, but I don't know which are which. Better safe than sorry and just get rid of them! |
