well the lady called me friday night i can not do foster or get lucy till jasmine is spayed and butters and fonzi are neutered i was going to wait till after christmas but i'm determined to get lucy so i'm going to be making an appointment soon hopefully some time this week its funny because my mom is almost as determined as i am we are cashing in one of her CD's to pay for the pets to get fixed and to adopted lucy. the only other problem is that she is in Tenn. and i'm in CA they will not transport her (of course since she has special needs) I can fly there to pick her up but i don't want to put her on a plane only because i dont think i could handle the fact that she would be under my seat i would want to hold her of course. My son has been saying for a while now that he wants to do something just me and him so i'm thinking maybe we can rent a car and drive there to get her i still have alot of research to do about how far it is and things like that but lucy is worth it to me and i have time since she still has to have surgeries and recover so we will see what happens.
Good luck Sams i know you want a yorkie bad maybe mupet will be the one for you. |

My grandparents live in Tennessee, so I could be part of a transport if you end up needing one. I can get her to Kansas City. |

I've been denied as well. They said I would have to spay smokey and end my breeding and showing...NOT!!! Excuse me, but I've been rescuing and breeding and showing since I learned to walk.....Ugh....
The lady I spoke to was very rude. Said "Do you know how many animals end up in shelters?" WEll yeah, I run one!!!
Obviously she doesn't know what a GOOD breeder does. Hello!!! I have people on waiting lists for years. And yet I've only had one litter in the past 2..... I don't breed for "Family Pets" or "Gifts" sorry. My dogs are workiong and show dogs. I have VERY strict guidlines, and I will be getting one of my puppies back soon. The couple in California got one of my females. Fell in love with her and haev done excellent job raising, and training her for the past year. Unfortunately they have to move due to her husbands military job and can not take her with them. (army guidelines)
So....She'll be coming back to me. Had she given the puppy away and tried to do it with out my knowledge, I would have been taking up a lawsuit. The contracts they sign state very clearly that in the event the dog can no longer be with the original owner. I must be contacted imediately and approve of the rehoming, or it must be shipped back to me. (of course I encour all expenses for the shipping back).
I keep in contact with everyone of my buyers. I'm very aggitated that this lady would think of me as a uncaring BYB....
I understand her concerns. But she really needs to read up on ACD's and what they are used for.
If I was in it for the $$$ I would be breeding everything, and signed the contracts with the police department K-9 unit but I refused. Id idn't like their policies....
Sooo... that being said.....I'm very disapointed. |

thanks Jamiya i might take you up on that.
Wow sams that is strange to me becasue the lady i talked to was very nice i donated $20.00 to lucy and i received 6 thank you emails from different people. I just learned that it's a requirment that all your pets be fixed. but you being a breeder i didnt think it would apply to you humm weird |

I don't know. Granvel said no more dogs. Not until we resolve the "Lacy" matter.
Apparently someone saw someone loading her up in their truck down by our place the day after she went missing....
Sooooo. I don't know if its real becuase of heresay, or what. I'll be investigating up on it though.
You'd think after all the signs and posters and the 4'X6' plywood sign I have outside my place, with the $Reward$ $200 they would have the decency to return her. But then again you never know.
I've also learned that since then. Two other heelers have been stolen and "disappeared" out of their kennels and yards. |

Wow, Sams. Sounds like someone is taking heelers. Make sure Smokey is secure!! Maybe he didn't get taken when Lacy did because he tried to bite the human....and maybe that is part of where his current aggression is coming from? Especially if it was a man that threatened him. You never know.
Did you talk to the owner of the rescue, or the foster mom of the dog you wanted to adopt? You might have better luck with someone higher up. |

| But if they would have taken her, they would have taken Smokey. But like Granvel said. He can be agressive to men and strangers....sooo who knows. |

I think we posted at the same time! oopsy!
that very well could be. He's really settled down now. I think the drama of him getting out, and I don't doubt people were shooo'in him away and men yelling at him. He hasn't growled or attmepted anything with granvel since.
OH he's definately secure. The gate to our property is ALWAYS closed and locked. one for the horses safety if they ever got out of their pen, and two for the dogs. I don't want anyone unauthorized coming in and out.
He's also got a padlock on the kennel door and signs that say"I bite" and Beware of DOg....ect.
That and you have to step over the electric fence to get to the kennel door....
I've contacted the sheriffs dept about it, and I'm making signs to put up. Dog napping....reward for any information leading to the whereabouts of these dogs....that kinda thing...so if someone is purposly stealing dogs, He/she will be caught. In a town the size of ours, no one can get away with anything....pop200 won't let it. You can fart and 5 minutes later the whole town knows about it! |

Here's another transport site: http://www.acmepettransport.com/forum/index.php
Sams, I talked to some rescue people and they all said that most of the time they make exceptions for responsible breeders who have intact animals. One also said, though, that 2 of the 3 rescues she worked for would not have allowed this, no matter what. But one of those also has all sorts of terribly restrictive criteria that ends up denying many dogs good homes. |

| A rescue denied my mother and all of her dogs are rescues!!!! How rediculous! They claimed that since Axel has not been desexed they couldn't allow it. Axel hasn't been desexed becuase his testicles never developed!!!! |
