GIna. I remember you saying you beat cancer here a while back.
I was just wondering what to expect. I had a Dr.'s apt yesterday, and I found out I have skin cancer.

The Dr was looking at it, and poking and proding, said he's seen it a hundred times and hes 98% sure it is, but if its not (and he highly doubts it) it will be soon.
i'm tring to find a specialist now, but not having much luck in my area. SO I'll be loooking into the Houston or Austin area I guess.

Sams yes it has been five years! I had breast cancer so it is a little different then skin cancer. My cancer was found after I was sick with the flu for over a month. But only after bloodtests an MRI and a biopsy of my lymp nodes and lumpedectomy was performed. The only sure fire way to determine if it is truly skin cancer is through biopsy. And then with skin cancer often just radiation and laser therapy is enough to beat it. I am really shocked that your doctor would even mention cancer without having done any tests especially without a biospy. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

HE was telling me that with the non stop bleeding, and the soreness, quick growth and change in colors, he was pretty darn sure. Said he's seen it a thousand times....

I finally go a Dr. Apt with a cosmetic surgeon to have it removed. since its on my face, I don't want too bad of scarring. Though I'd rather have a scar! You know what I mean!!! lol

So Dec. 2nd i go in! He doubts I'll need radiation or anything. just have it removed.

OMG! good luck to you honey. Most all cancer caught early enough can be easy to beat in this day and age. I know many ppl. that have overcome different kinds.

You are in my thoughts.
