Well i thought I would update everyone on Bless or Buck (we havent decided which name yet) is doing today. He is still on IV's and tubes for his feeding and such (poor thing). Last night one of the vets at the office went out and bought a large bag of soft cotton stuffing for quilts and filled his cage with it so he would be in alittle less constant pain. He wags his tail now when he senses people around ( we say sense because we're still not sure how severe his eye, and ear injuries are) but the poor thing everytime he does he cries in pain because his tail like every other inch of his body is lightly skinned. I went up there three times today. Also the Police/Animal Control officers called the house and advised us to take as many photo's as possible of poor Bless or Buck for hopefully a future court date once they find the sick people who did this to him. They said there has been other occurences of this only on smaller animals ( as if their working their way up ). These animals did not survive but they were found in trash cans as well. The entire county is under effect and have been told to keep an eye out for any more occurences and to keep all their animals inside or locked up wether in the country or in town. Their hoping to pass on the message through the entire state. They said it would not be us against the abusers but hte county or if we're lucky the state but us and the other people who have delt with these disgusting cases will have to testify. Im a bit afraid for that day but it may not be for a long long time. Right now the poor dog is still just a breathing body that is slowly very slowly getting better with time and love and medical care. |

| If the chance of a full recovery or a recovery that will give him good quality of life I would hold off Euthing him... But if he's likely to be miserable his whole life I'm with Sams... I bet though that if his skin isn't damaged to far below the surface and if his hearing and sight can be restored somewhat...he deserves all the chance he can get... IF it's likely his skin won't come back without serious fight and intervention and if he starts to NOT improve even by tiny increments... It's tough though... I'd try as hard as I could till there was no doubt he would be miserable forever etc... |

The vet's are saying they would'nt be surprised if he made a full recovery now. His ears and eyes will never be perfect but he will be able to see their saying now which is awsome. He seems in alot less pain today too alot less crying and alot more wagging of the tail and he seems to be getting stronger because he was laying with his head up looking around alittle today.
It was in Pennsilvania in Linesville |

| Cockatiel I am glad he is getting better. That just makes me sick though. How can people do that to an animal. I hope he makes a full recovery, sounds like he is already feeling better. I hope this person gets caught soon and before he hurts or kills something else. |
