|
|
I came home Friday afternoon, I had left early at 3pm so I could spend some time with them and put their new collar and name tags on, and do somebonding....
I came home to an empty kennel..... Somehow Smokey and Lacy had pryed the chainlink up from one bottom corner of the kennel! I freeked out..I called and called, and then drove from 4 pm until about 10:30 when Smokey comes running down the road!! He had gotten his collar off somehow somewhere...But he came home!! Lacy did not. SO I put him in the front seat with me and we drove until 2am, and I was sooo tired I couldn't drive anymore. So I went home Granvel had fixed the kennel (and theres no way he's getting out now) and we put him in there thinking she'll see him and stay there (if she comes back)
Well I got up as soon as day broke, about 5:30-6 and searched some more.....No sign. I even drove all the way to Lissie (where I bought her from) thinking she might be headed back home.....nope....
So I went to every door, down every back road.....everywhere and no sign of her. I made a bunch of signs and put them up.
LOST DOG
Femal Red Heeler
COmes to name: "LACY"
If found please call:
***-***-****
$$$REWARD$$$
So all weekend I used up 2 1/2 FULL tanks of gas, and still no sign.
Everyone has seen her, but no one has caught her. THeir all out for the $200 reward I'm offering and keep bringing me dogs that aren't mine!!! Ugh!!!!
I'm soo tired. SUnday afternoon I started runing a high fever, and throwing up, but I kept driving... My new neighbors flagged me down and said Hey! I saw your dog, she wlaked right out of your place and next to me like 30 minutes ago!! I was like, Why didn't you catch her!!!!! (knowing I've been searching frantically for the past 3 days!!!!!!
He said, UH, well she walked right across the road and into that feild and trees....So off I went into the trees (knee deep in water and sludge) NO lacy.
Yesterday I was sooo sick, I couldn't get out of bed....today. I'm feeling better, But worried sick abouther.
God I hope she comes home....MY mother in law is searching for her, and everyone else...they claim they've seen her around town, but can't tell me where she is......
I don't know. I called the breeder back and she told me she'd call if Lacy came back there, but its over 40 miles away! |

Oh Sam that's terrible.
If people have seen her then atleast you know there's a chance she'll come back. Good luck on your search, I hope you find her soon. |

| I bet you're worried sick!! If good thoughts can bring a doggie home, Lacy will be back before the end of the day. |

God yall don't know how much I hope soo. I've really bonded with her. I know she's scared to death and doesn't know where she's at. My only hopes is she comes home (or is returned home) safe and healthy. SHe is not fixed and due to come in heat with in the next week!!! But thats the least of my worries at the moment.
Of course Granvel is mad that he payed $350 and now she's gone...but I'm worried more about her than the money....I can always replace that, but not her.
She's come a LONG way from the shy girl when I first brought her home last Tuesday night....now she's gone!!! |

Sam, what you might let everyone know is she is skittish. wylie was a stray that had been in our neighborhood for like a week, people would try to cxatch her and she would run away. well we saw her and my husband told me to si down and call her, she came rruning to me. so i think if i had tried to approach her she would have run. just a thought to help

Iknow. I'm seriously on the verge of a nervous breakdown..... I dont' know what the deal is. I fall in love with something and it leaves!! First Tom, then Char, now Lacy.... I had just gone out Friday afterwork and bought about $150 worth of stuff for her! and Smokey. As soon as I saw the empty kennel and the hole, I dropped everything. Started Calling and ran to the truck to get my phone and start searching.... I broke the new doggie cookie jar, and bent her new stainless bowls when I dropped them....
I'm relieved that Smokey came back, but God.....she hasnt. |

Oh my gosh Sam, I am so sorry. I feel so bad it seems like everytime I have a spare moment to pop on here there is another trauma in your life. I am glad that everyone else is here to support you more than I. You are all always in my thoughts though.
Good luck.... |

I feel like such a boob. Katrina called and asked if she had shown up, I completely broke down. SHe's going to drive to Rock Island and see if she can't find her. Maybe Lacy will recognize her voice, face and truck.
Granvel said he heard some shots this evening. There are hunters all around, I'm hoping to God no one shot her. But from a distance they do look like wolves or coyotes.....
I don't know if Yall remember the idiots who shot Pete? Our red heeler male....its been a while back. |

NO. Still no sign. I've gotten a few more strays that people have brought me though!
I'm scared to death that with all the hunters out here, she might have gotten shot, or someone picked her up and is not going to give her back.
Granvel thinks she may have been stolen also. A dog like that. I'd want to keep her too....
I"ve got posters up all in a 50 mile radius of the house....seriously.
I'm sure by now, everyone thinks I"m crazy..... |
