I'm sorry to hear of your loss with the one hamster. Are you sure that the back leg problem is not actually an injury, possibly from an exercise wheel, or a genetic problem? What are you feeding your hamsters that you think they would develop such a problem from vitamin deficieny(sp?)? Either way i would suggest a powder vitamin rather than drops for 2 reasons. Drops are normally given by putting them in the water bottle, which encourages bacterial growth in the bottle, possibly causing other problems. If you replace the water everyday and clean the bottle, it shouldn't be a major issue, but then you wind up throwing away whatever wasn't consumed. Also powder vitamins tend to be more stable and you can simply sprinkle them on the food. Was the other hamster's death related to this leg problem?

have you had you hamster to the vet? who told you to get vita drops? I use vita drops for all my rats and they have all lived very long lives however they also get a B-complex vitamin from my vet, tho i don't know if that is suitable for hamsters. They also get pomagranites witch are loaded with antioxidants. anyway i would seriously suggest takin him to a vet. I recently adopted a rat who suddenly lost use of her back legs. Turned out it was a prettyu serious nuerological problem she ended having seizures and had to be put down. So let us know what is goin on!

that would be so upsetting if she was having seizures, perhaps her legs arent properly formed so she cant walk, she may have arthrituus, i mean, if hamsters can get that.

Plz take her to your Vet.
