I made a reply to a post a little while ago about that horse in the Olympics who got hurt during the final round of show jumping. I just found out that they had to put the horse down. That is so sad. He won a bronze medal. That would just be awful to go all the way to the Olympics and then have your horse get hurt during the show and have to put them down. Couldn't even imagine.

Just thought I would let everyone know.

Actually Royal Kaliber wasn't put down due to the injury he sustained in the olympics. He was euthanized for intestional adhesions when he underwent colic surgery.

Oh. They didn't say why they just said on the tv that he was put down 11 or so days after the olympics. I figured it was something to due with his injury.

Either way it is still sad.
