our cousins got a pup a few months back. my mum finally got round to seeing their new house etc and she saw the dog. she came home and i asked what breed it was. she said it was a staffy crossed with a greyhound. immediately i thought 'what the heck? there arent even enough greyhounds around to make a backyard mutt mistake like that.' then my mum proceeded to tell me it had a staffy head, slgihtly taller than a staffy and a slender greyhound type body with brindle markings. i said 'you mean it was a slim taller staffy?' yes she said. i broke out in laughter and said 'mum, that sounds like an abpt. i think theyve been scammed, are they really that stupid in the first place to buy a mutt off a backyard breeder?' im yet to see the dog. mum says shes a sweety so i dont know how they will react if it is an apbt and i tell them. maybe i should keep quiet....
i must say that family are pretty uneducated when it comes to dog breeds. their first dog was suppose to be a shitzu cross. turned out to be a tibetan terrier. they have probably never seen a pitbull in their life so they wouldnt have the foggiest idea.
pfft staffy crossed with a greyhound. yeah, and my dogs crossed with a husky and german sheperd! [i guess that makes an akita?] LOL! |

I would have to see pics of the dog not just a description to form a breed opinion. I've seen greyhounds crossed with Boxers, Labs and APBTs(not SBTs though).
This cute dog is for adoption, its a greyhound/chow mix. I just had to post a pic of the cutie. |
