Greetings:
I am PROUD to announce that this past Sunday July 25th 2004. My pitbull dog named Ginger was chosen to be the pitbull in the Dog Fashion Show entitled "A dog for Every Day"
This was her first public debut.
Ginger did AWSOME!!! She is 4 years old. WE had adopted her from Pitbull Rescue only three days after our beloved pitbull Jasmine passed away from kidney disease three years ago.
I spent countless hours with my dog and my trainer training Ginger to become a pet therapy dog. She has her CGC. (Canine Good Citizenship Certificate)
She was so cute on stage.
It was a very long weekend for all of the dogs.
They had to be at dress rehearsal at 10am on Saturday. We were at rehearsal until 12:30pm. They spent most of the day and evening hours in the back stage. I must say ALL THE DOGS WERE WELL BEHAVED. Not ONE DOG SPAT BROKE OUT!!! Pretty amazing considering most of the dogs were shelter dogs with only a few seasoned professionals.
On Sunday, we had to come back at 12:30pm and stay until 2pm.Then, we had to come back at 5:30pm all dressed up in our flamboyant attire!!! This was a black tie event!!!
The dog show section of the show did not begin until 9pm so you can imagine how difficult it was for the dogs. It was a very long day.

The dogs were walked down the runway by professional models.
My husband and I felt so proud of our little girl.
After the show, we walked Ginger thru the crowd of people and introduced her. Believe me many people were shocked as well as impressed to see such a well behaved "Pitbull". Many people (mostly business men and woman) asked me "What type of dog is that"? When I replied "PitBull", people were amazed.
I also was able to speak to the local press about "Ginger", you see, the newspaper reporters daughter fell in love with Ginger!!!
So, I feel like I did my job over the weekend promoting Positive Pit Bull Press!!!
Congratulations Ginger
Love Mom!!!

Susan: Congratulations to Ginger and you. Possitive Pit Bull image seems like it's always two steps forward and four steps back. Because of Ginger, it's taken a GIANT step forward. THANKS!!

Mr. Green

Hello Everyone and Thank you for the kind words.
I don't know how to upload pics onto this site but here is the link for my photo's
Look under my dogs (my rescues are included too) and
at the very bottom you will find the pic of Ginger when she first came onto the runway (very scared) She then calmed down and seemed to enjoy herself very much. She did very well for her first time!!!

The lighting was very dark so this is the only pic of have of her.

Sincerely,
Sue and Ginger
