Like i have said before, i am in the military. I am about to be deployed in september for 4 months and will be away from my wife and pet.. my sister is keepin my dog for me while i am gone. the reason my wife isnt keepin him is because she is goin to overseas to send time with her father while i am gone.. to ship Jax overseas would cost us a little over 1,000 dollars with the quarenteen (sp) included.. My wife really took it hard, she was cryin all day and all night.. even cried when we were watchin spiderman 2.. you would think that she wanted to get Jax.. i had to talk HER into gettin a pitbull.. she loves him more than anythin now.. I am takin Jax to tennessee tomorrow.. i wanted to get him there while he is still a little young so my sister won't be afraid of him.. my question is.. do you think Jax will remember us 6 months later?? I will really miss him

Daddyfs
Let me say first I know what you are going through. My husband was in the Air Force for 12 years and in that twelve years he spent two tours over seas once in Korea for a year without family and then 6 months is Kuwait and countless other spare of the moment deployments. And everytime he left it was so tough. Being away from family and friends is never easy. Be very proud of yourself you have a very important job I thank you for your service to our country.
As far as Jax remembering you when you return I can honestly say I do not know. IM very sorry. I hope everything goes well for you and your family. I will keep you all in my prayers. Pray IM not very far from Tennessee if your sister ever needs a pet sitter!

daddyfs: I am sorry you have to leave your pup. The good thing is that you have family you trust to watch him, so you need not worry about his safety.

Good luck to you and be safe.

I would say that Jax will still remember you after 6 months, even a year. We have family that visits our house, and even after months or years without having seen them, Goo still remembers who they are, so I would say that he would definitely remember you, having lived with you all of his life thus far. Sorry to hear about your having to be away from your family, and hope all goes well for you while you're away.
