a post done about who your 3 favourate fish are, gave me an idea.

please write what your favourate type of fish is, and three reasons why.

or a paticular fish you own and three resons why she/he is your best fish.

but, hers the tricky bit.
after you have done this, you must write one fact about this fish species.
no one must write the same fact. lets se how knowledgable we are, you can post as many times as you want if you have more than one faveorite fish/ species.

the first people to post will find this the easiest.

ill go first.

* fave fish/species - GUPPY

WHY?

* I LOVE THEIR UPTURNED MOUTHS.

* I THINK THEIR STEERING FINS ARE REALLY CUTE AND MIDGY.

* THEY ARE PRETTY AND COME IN VARIETY OF COLOURS SO I CAN BREED PARTICULAR COLOURS.

FACT -

GUPPIES USED TO BE ALOT BIGGER THAN THEY ARE NOW BUT HAVE BEEN BRED AND ALTERED AUNTILL THEY ARE THE SIZE THEY ARE TODAY, MAKING THEM ALOT LESS HARDY AND WEAKER THEN EVER.

Rams

1. Beautiful body colors and fins

2. Small size

3. Fun and spunky attitude!

Fact:

There are currently bolivian rams, blue rams, german blue rams, balloon rams, and golden varieties of blue rams. Once again all of this cross breeding and color morphing is weakening the species.

My favorite fish are Puffers! Because...
They move their eyes a lot and almost wink at you!
They are fat (pudgy, pleasantly plump, as you wish to say it)!
They seem to have sooo much personality!
Fact: One of their defense mechanisms is to swallow lots of water to puff themselves up so that they appear larger than they really are and some of them even do this as they are being eaten by another fish (in the wild) causing them to get larger inside the predator killing both fish.

I love Severums,

Cause of the size of the fins
Their behaviour with owners.
The chuck of food they swallow impress me.

Fact
They posses the strong and sharp scales and fins as compared to any other acqarium fish. They come in golden and green colours. But are afraid of fast movements and can jump out of acqarium easily.
