She is absolutely beautiful! It's just never ending is it? There are just so many in need of loving homes. I have been having a hard time lately dealing with the constant grief and worry I put myself through over dogs I cant possibly help. I use to volunteer at the shelter here 2-3 days a week but here lately I have hardly been able to go once a week. It's just so depressing, especially when I get attached to one of the dogs only to come in the next week and it be gone. I use to ask about them always with hope they had been adopted but now I know better than to ask.
Hopefully that beautiful girl will find a forever home. My girl Pinky is the sweetest most well behaved and Oh boy does she love children she loves my kids so much she follows them all over our yard and she's so short but runs her little heart out with the kids. And she is so smart she learned sign language within a couple of weeks. Even my kids have learned how to sign to her and she loves it when they talk to her. Her favorite is thumb to chin witch means treat! |

I know what you mean. There's 450 P.B.s listed with PetFinders in just 5 Western States alone. A some of them has met or passed their deadline. That's why I get a little emotional when I see people (like a new member on this board) trying to breed some more dogs in an attempt to make a buck.
I don't board or take in homeless pets anymore. But I still try to help place them and spread the word and volunteer.
Your Pinky is a very lucky girl the day you found her. I'm so glad for both of you. |
