Hi guys,
I've had a pair of Tinfoils for over 8 years, one of them died last month Sad
So I decided to buy more tinfoils to keep this one company. I got 4 more Tinfoils and 2 Pacus. They seemed to get a long quite well, but recently I've noticed the little new tinfoils are kinda attacking the fins of the elder one (yes, tinfoil annoying the other tinfoil) Neutral making it keep swimming fast most of the time trying to avoid them. Does anyone know what could be the reason?

Pacus, although they are shy, they don't hesitate to annoy the fish entering their territories, so most of the time you'd see the tinfoils avoiding the corner where the Pacus are. Sometimes the pacus even fight with eachother..
There's war in the aquarium Confused something must be triggering this.

Total Number of fish:
Tinfoils= 4 little ones, 1 big one.
Pacus = 2 Little ones.

Thanks guys Smile

wow that is a big one!!! hmmm, well allot of fish tend to be territorial even if it isnt in their nature. some fish do bully others according to age groups. all animals have their higher archy and maybe that one is at the bottom. otherwise im not sure

Are you prepared to buy a 800 gallon tank for those pacus within the next 6 -8 months? If not, I suggest returning them now since they grow very quickly,are going to get over 2 feet long and almost as tall, and need about 400 gallons each.

As for the current aggression problem, you can try rearranging the tank decorations, but other than that pretty much your only choice is to get rid of some fish.

Thanks for the suggestion guys. Tank size future requirements won't be a problem as a new wall aquarium is currently under construction. But I guess I should get rid of the troublemakers Mad

That's really great to hear! Surprised I would love to see pics of it when it's done.
