I am thinking of getting an african dwarf frog. I have some questions..
- would a 2 gallon tank be good enough for 1 frog? or should i get 3 gallons?
- do I need a heater? (some people say yes, and others say that their frogs lived along time without..)
- do i add anything to the water other than a dechlorine?
- would feeding him frog pellets be enough?
- how often do I change the water with a 2 gallon tank (every 2 weeks?)?
- I am not planing on using a filter..is that ok?

thanks

i have 2 african dwarf frogs and this is what i can tell you so far:

i do not have a heater for the tank and they have done fine without it. my frogs have lived now for about 3 1/2 months. they look happy and healthy.

they eat sinking fish pellets (or frog and tadpole sinking food @ petco).

i dont know how big my tank is... not very big though. you should be fine with the size you have.

hope this helps!!!!! Your the best they are so fun to watch!

good luck with your frogs,
Emma

They should be fine without a heater if it has a light usually it is incondes. and they give off heat. the pellets are good or a sinking tablet... Yea every couple of weeks is good you can get a water tester kit to make sure that the nitrates and nitrites are safe......
good luck they are fun to have and watch!!!
