Hi, Havent been around for awhile, Wylie has Leptorspirosis. Does anyone have any experience with it. We do live in a rural area, but the vet said it is extremely rare around here. I am surprised she was tested for it. She does not have any symptoms except her liver enyzmes are high and drinks a lot more water. I thought for sure she has cushings because she has also turned from a very picky eater into ravenous, energy elvels are lower and now more heat intolerant. He wanted to do the lepto first and get her off anything that could be elevating her liver.

Jake is getting tested tomorrow

Hi Honey,
There's hardly anyone around here anymore, so it's nice to see an old face hehe.

So sorry to hear about Wylie. I've never heard of it before now, so can't help at all, but just wanted to say hope it goes ok!

HI Nik! luckily it sounds like she got exposed but didnt come down with it because if she did she would be extremely ill and many dogs dont survive.

Hows Floob doing?

When I took my Shih-poo to the vets for her first set of shots back in December, it was recommended that she be given the Lepto vaccine I am glad that I did.

My vet doesn't give the Lepto routinely. We recently had a rat problem in the neighborhood so I was a little worried about it.

I'm so sorry to hear about Wylie.
