I have a two year old pitbull and yesterday she was playing in the back yard and started yelping so loud and limping. I took her to the vet right away and they said it was a luxated patella. This morning it was out again- so I took her back, a half hour later it wasout AGAIN, so I felt around and it popped back in. Now it is out again, they say she will be fine with it like that until tomorrow when they can see her again. I can easily get it back in- but I don't know what to do. Is there any way I can wrap it with it in until tomorrow? Is surgery my only option?

Not real familiar with dogs with knee problems. I think there are vets who specialize in orthopedics.

im not sure if it works the same, but if humans knees keep dislocating they need surgery to keep it in place.
