Hello! We recently purchased what we were told was a toy poodle...she is 9 weeks old and weighs almost 4 lbs....we were finally told the truth, her mom was 12 lb and dad was 6 lb. She will probably be 10-12 lbs right? Is she considered toy or mini?

Poodle sizes are determined by height, not weight.

Toy poodles are 10 inches of less at the highest point of the shoulder.

Miniatures are over 10 inches, up to 15 inches, at the highest point of the shoulder.

Standard poodles are over 15 inches at the highest point of the shoulder.

Of course, all measurements are done when the dog reaches it's full growth.
