This was a forward sent to me from my dad and I thought I'd share it with you guys. I own multiple cats, at one point in time, I had two females give birth to a litter a week apart. When the second gave birth, the two new mothers came together and took care of all their kittens as a team effort. It was so sweet! Even my male kitty Night would come and lay with the kittens when the mothers left to eat. I've never once imagined motherhood like this though!

The description on the bottom says:

Quote:
One week after being born, six baby skunks were abandoned by their mother. Luckily, we had just weaned five kittens off of our resident farm cat a day before and hoped that perhaps she might take them on as her own. She was reluctant at first, but she let them nurse - a positive sign. Two weeks have gone by and the six little "Stinkers" are thriving and their new mom couldn't be happier. She has become quite devoted to them and even carries them around to show them off to visitors
