Mickey's first hogs ~ Graphic

This isn't for the kind hearted and weak stomached.

Anyway, for those that are intrested in hog hunting or what not. Here's Mickey's first one. Its a baby, Second is a littermate to it I assume since their about the same size and all. Faith jumped in to "assist". She did really well!!! Although she's not going to be a hog dog. It does go to show what a Boerboel can do. Especially an untrained one. Her hog was a bit bigger than Mickey's but she had it right away, Mickey on the other hand played a little while... yuck

They were in my back yard.... yes, back yard.....

Honestly, I don't have a weak stomach nor am I not fully aware of prey drive as I own multiple pit bulls myself.
I have to say though that I myself find those pictures offensive and wish you had not posted them for all to see.
I am sure everyone on the board will disagree with me and thats fine too but I had to say my two cents on the matter.

I'm with Sue...even though posted "graphic" (which is appreciated) I don't see the point in sharing the product of a kill.
I hope you don't simply throw the carcasses away - you do intend to make a meal out of them I'm sure, otherwise what a waste of young lives.

I've asked Auspet to pleae remove them, Sorry I should have used better judgement and posted links.

In anycase, theres an abundance of them! They run wild everywhere and are horrible pests. Ruin hundreds of acres of pastures, crops and fields. No I will not waste it. Its been cleaned and divided amongst the dogs.

We shot a few larger ones and have them in the freezer.

awe those are just babies. I thought they were going to be real big hogs. I hear they are very, very bad down your way though.

We may have a few with us when/if we come your way as we are planning on picking some up and bringing them back with us. Last time my husband had too many dogs, goats and turkeys to fit any. We may also do some hogging while we are there for the 2 weeks+ stay. But will have to decide which dogs to take out since some will be in the show and don't want them marked/cut up.

I do know hogs can really wreak havoc and need to be kept down but I do think that posting pics of the dead babes may have been better posted on a hunting/training forum as that really was the purpose they served.

Glad to hear a boel catches... Why don't you want Faith doing that? Sounds like she'd really be great at it and it'd be an asset to the breed to have any working as catch dogs...give them more credibility with working folks out there.
