Kitten peeing on our bed

We got kittens, two brothers, now 14 weeks old. Last night, each time we let them in the bedroom with us one of them would instantly pee on our bed. Anyone have any idea on what's up with that? We'v e had them with us for 4 weeks and we're bonding well. The peeing, though is quiet disturbing, and it hadn't started happening until just the last couple days. They have both been a bit sick, and are getting better, does this have something to do with it? Please let us know if you have idea. Thanks

I'd take them to the vet to rule out a urinary tract infection. That often causes cats to pee in all the wrong places - but they do seem awfully young to have problems this early. Were they perhaps neutered already? I have heard there is a belief that kittens that are neutered very young tend to have underdeveloped uretheas....that is a belief and I've heard nothing to back it up and I also know people whose male cats were neutered young and never had a problem.
If it's not health related you might want to try a different litter. Scoopable litter should never be used with kittens that young anyway so if you are using that I'd switch to something else. Kittens can lick the scoopable litter off their paws (or even eat it from the litterbox) and it clogs up in their bellies and they are too tiny to be able to pass the clumps.
Maybe they don't like their litterbox, or where it is. Sometimes it's something as simple as that.
And also since they have peed on your bed you can't simply wash it - you need to use a product like Nature's Miracle to get the scent out. Even if you can't smell it they probably still can.
I just tossed a bath mat out today as one of my cats peed on it (I think she has a UTI) and I soaked it with an enzyme product for cat pee, washed it and it still had a slight odor to it. I know she'd use it again so I threw it away.
But I'd rule out health then if they are fine work on the behavior aspect.
Also if they've been on any meds you might want to do a search and see what the side effects might be...could have something to do with that if they've been ill.

Well said Mary, and yea I was going to ask is there a litter box in your room?? I'd say or hope there is anyway lol. If not, than that could be one problem..
But agreed with what Mary said, make sure there is no UTI first. Or any other medical problems, like bladder probs, but as Mary said too they are awfully young to have major probs, but you just never know.
