| Reese went in for his yearly "head to tail" physical today. It took around 4hrs. to do. Grace was beside herself that he was gone. He got all his vaccinations and a micro-chip implant. He now weighs just over 66#. The last time he went in he weighed 49#. I was a bit surprised! Grace has to weigh at least 70# since she's a lot bigger. Her physical is next. The Vet says he's in tip-top physical condition. The whole thing cost $300, but only cost me $44 with my insurance plan. I'm just gushing because my Reese is so healthy, that's all. I LOVE MY PITS!!!! |

That's awesome that everything went so well!
If you don't mind me asking, what kind of insurance plan do you have? I don't have ins. on my dogs, but would like to look into it. I'm sure it saves a small fortune in the long run! LOL What's your monthly rate? (You don't have to answer that, I was just curious). |

| Jameka" It's the "Wellness Plan" through Banfeild Hospitals. It cost me $19 a month per dog. So far I've save $1674 for just Reese alone. All I've paid in premiums is $228. This way I know they have all their vaccinations, blood tests, and physicals they need to keep them healthy. If you "pay as you go," it runs into some money. |

| Im so happy to hear that Reeses's physical went well. Ive heard about the micro-chip that they place in dogs but I don't know alot about them. Where do they it??? And if the dog gets lost how does it track them? |

The chip goes between the shoulder blades.
It doesn't "track" them but when the dog gets picked up animal shelters and vet hospitals have scanner things that they use to get the number out of the chip... You register your number to match to you and your dog and it's in a data base... So they scan the dog and it comes up with the number which matches to you and our address etc... They have effectively found the owner of the dog. Make sense? |
