Are earmarkings very painfull for cats?
The people from the shelter brought Buster to the vet yesterday, to have him earmarked (?). And now he is acting like he is in very much pain, he meows and flatten his ears when I touch him. Last night he was still very sedated, so I couldn't tell if it bothered him then.
Also he had wet cat litter and a piece of cat food stuck in front of his one nostrlil when I woke up two minutes ago Imagine what if it has gotten in both I don't know ow he does it, but he is very clumsy with the cat litter.
Anyway, it's 4 am here now, and I have to go to work. I'll have someone to check on him during the day, and I just pray it's nothing wrong with him... (The vet said he was a healthy, but skinny, cat) |

Hmmm I'm not sure ear marking is a good thing..
I thought it was for feral cats??? Anyway..
Cant say I agree with it at all..
Sounds like he's in discomfort..
Keep a good eye on him.. |

Thanks for the reply By ear marking I mean a tattoo. They were the common way to mark your cat here, before the micro chip was introduced. I don't know why the shelter still use tattoos though... Maybe because they're easy for people to see.
He seem to be doing better now. He still twiches and meows if i touch his ear, but not as bad as earlier today. I spoke to the vet and they told me to keep an eye on him, and to call them if he doesn't get better. |

| I'm glad he's feeling better. I would imagine that it must hurt a bit. |

| Bella and Chieve were both tatooed. I imagine it did hurt some although they did not seem to be bothered much. |

Awwww. How's he doing now? Monty used to be a very clumsy cat. He used to get cat litter on his nose too when he was a kitten and he'd smash his nose on walls, furniture, etc when he played fetch. His hand eye coordination is much better now so there's hope. |
