MY 9 mo. old Smokey and 3 mo. old brother Riley both love to throw things into their water bowl. Sometimes in their food bowls, too,but mostly in their water. They love to play with pipe cleaners, and almost every morning, I find a pipecleaner in their bowl. That is better than what I found this morning. I keep separate bowls for food and water, and keep them about 6-8 inches apart to keep them from dropping food into the water. I got up this morning and went to give them fresh water, and found that they had dunked over half of their food into the water! The food bowl was not moved any closer, so that means that they had to take it by mouthful over to the water bowl and drop it in! I think I have a couple of trouble-makers here!!

Zeus - who else. I find stuff in the dog's water bowl, cat's water bowl. And now and then in the toilet.

That's so funny Nano. My kitties don't do that but my daughter's kitties put things in their food dishes.

Monty and Vene used to drown their toys and it was hilarious. Maybe your furkids prefer moist foods? Mr. Green

Haha, so cute. Luna doesn't dunk food, but I sometimes catch her dunking her paw in her water and then licking it off her paw.

Lol, Luna and Rene should get together and have a paw dunking fest. I'm constantly changing the water maybe 5-10x a day thanks to Rene. Rolling Eyes

lols... Rolling Eyes

max puts his toys in the water every day. his ball, and his mouse. then...he takes it out and chews on it. i think he likes the water he gets as he squishes it with his mouth. as a baby...he used to fetch his mouse....race back to me, jump on the desk where i was sitting drinking my coffee, and if i wasnt quick enough he would drop it in my coffee cup. i cant tell you how many times i had to change my coffee because of him. he used to put it in the toilet, until i started putting the toilet seat down....i couldnt take the idea of putting my hand in the toilet to get it out. goofball cat

lol, great stories Mr. Green

Kyrre has a fetish for my rubber hairbands, he goes nuts playing with them, and there is at least one in his food bowl at all times Laughing

I've actually read somewhere that you can train your cats to pick up after them selves when they're done playing, because of their hang to put the toys close to their food/water... Shocked

winks likes to collect my hair ties and fill his water bowl with them, and then, he won't drink out of his water bowl so he's trying to drink out of the sink, toilet or bathtub Rolling Eyes
