| My bird is in a cage by a window . The cage is not directley by a window but kind of diaganal to it.She acts just fine so I am thinking that it is ok where my parakeet i located .I just want to make sure. |

Birds should never be put directly in a window or near a window if there is a draught coming through as a draught will kill a bird quicker then being out in the cold.
Aslong as there is no draught then she should be ok.

Yes you can still open windows aslong as the bird is not too close to them, I used to have an aviary but i had to rehome most of my birds so now i only have the ones that are cage and during the day i put there cages outside so that they can get some fresh air...
