Brewer's yeast is a specific yeast, saccharomyces cerevisiae, that is recovered after the brewing of beer. It is inactive, meaning it has been killed and has no leavening power.
On the other hand, it has been implicated as an allergen, and allergies can leave a dog more susceptible to opportunistic organisms, like malassezia. |
