She was very sleepy. I got to see what they found... apparently she wanted to eat the whole FOREST. She had the stick and a whole pile of leaves in her!!! I gues the stick got stuck, then all the leaves got caught on the stick and thats what plugged her up!!!!

So after I left there I went to Wal-Mart to get more carpet cleaner and I found this.... I think I'll remind her what NOT to eat!!! LOL

And here was the bathroom early early early this morning...

hey Sams - I hope you aren't going to put any hope in that plastic stick chew toy! We had one of those to play with as a retrieving stick -- it was in the garbage in less than a day.
The best thing I have found to release that pent up energy dogs release as chewing is exercise, play and training --- with their human. Left to themselves to release this energy -- and they are guaranteed to get into mischief!!!
Don't worry though -- this frustrated energy state usually passes by the time the large breeds are 2 or 3 years old. Sooner if you have spent more time with them. Longer if they get this destructive habit embedded in their heads.

Jam posted a pic from the pet store of the nylabone turkey leg. These big dog nylabones are great!!! It is well worth the investment into a couple of them. They are the only chew toys that will hold up for my dogs.

Oh I forgot - I bought a tire toy for our pup - It is a rubber tire - he loves carrying that thing around the house and in 2 months has just done some minor damage to it.
It was from one of the big box pet stores and it comes in several sizes. It is called a "TireBiter".

Thanks. Thats the wierdest thing. She's not a BIG chewer... Yeah, she likes her kong and badcuz, but she's never been distructive.

She does like to play with REAL truck tires though. She flip them over her head and carry them around, or roll and drag them.
Its not uncommon to be outside and see her running around with a 185 64 R16 around her neck! LOL... 10 ply at athat!!!

I'm not giving either of them the rubber stick. I bought it more as a joke for Granvel. its so flimsy and thin, they'd chew it up in a heart beat.... I think my moms Chihuaha could eat this thing. It's just over 18" long... but wy anyone would make a toy for a dog so thin... I dunno.

Ranger and Snickers got a tire biter too! I got it more for Snickers, since she chews on teh house (we need to buy stock in bitter apple, lol) but Snickers is afraid of it. Ranger though, chews and pulls on this thing, but there is NOTHING wrong with it after nearly 4 months, I know they're not as big, but between the two of them, it's hard to find a toy that lasts!

Glad ti hear precious is getting better. My parents have a half dalmation halrf black lab. He eats anything he can get his paws on we have tried everything with him we sweep up before he goes out, pick up allthe sticks we can find but he always finds something. I've spent more hours pulling things out of his mouth than i have my daughters. Not an easy feat when he is 125lbs. Thank god he is a big teddy bear.
