Hi everyone! This is my first post - I've been looking all over the place for information about this problem, and found you guys, so maybe yall can give me some advice :)
I adopted my cat Rudie last September. She's six years old, and aside from a bladder infection when we first got her, she's been healthy.
Lately I've noticed she's been sneezing, and her nose will be wet to slightly runny, but the moisture is clear. Other times her nose is dry. The thing that concerns me is that along with the sneezing, I've been able to rub off a black crust from the sides of her nostrils. Is this normal discharge? I don't know if the black color is healthy, but her eyes are clear and 85% of the time she's normal, no sneezing or breathing problems, and regardless of the sneezing she's spunky as usual. Sometimes when she purrs she'll make a sort of faint snoring noise along with it, but it's not all the time.
She sometimes sneezes after rubbing her nose against things in my room, so I'm thinking maybe? allergies to dust. I'm taking her into the vet next week if this continues, but I was just wondering whether to expect anything serious from the doctor. Thanks everybody!
