Someone called Saturday evening and told us he saw a dog that might be Missy resting by a bush. It was her, but she ran whenever someone called to her. So finally I set a humane trap by that bush and went back a couple hours later (it was dark by then) and she was in the trap! She was scared, but as soon as I got her home and let her out she was her normal bouncy self! She wriggled into my lap and was so happy to see me. She was very hungry, but really she's not terribly thin for being gone for 6 days. I fed her half her normal food and her tummy made some strange noises, but she kept it down. The next morning she ate as usual and pooped about 6 times, LOL. There was nothing else wrong with her. She didn't even need a bath! She was also very tired. I was too, but I couldn't sleep because I couldn't stop looking at her! We snuggled on the couch for a while, but then she crawled off to her crate to rest.

She went back to her owner on Sunday. I had him come to my house and hang out with her for a while, then later in the afternoon I took both her and Genie to his apartment and hung out. She was fine as long as I was there, so I went ahead and left her.

He says she is doing well, is giving him lots of kisses, and checked out fine at the vet. He now takes her out with both a collar and a harness and a leash on each. Smile

It was really hard to let her go, but I had no choice. I miss her a lot. Crying or Very sad But at least she is safe and loved!

Here's Missy a couple hours after she came home that night:
