her history is that her very pregnant GSD mother was found wandering the streets - no collar, no chip, no tatoo. Shelter took her in and her pregnancy was so advanced they let her deliver. The foster mom delivered the pups, whelped - had them until they were adopted.
Momma (her name) was picked up early July and gave birth July 6th - that's how far along she was when discovered.
Apparently - someone called the shelter (in Michigan) this past week asking if they had seen/heard/found a very pregnant GSD female sometime early July. They said they had. Caller asked what happened to her and they told her - she'd given birth, got spayed, was rehomed and all the pups have been homed.
Well these people live in Indiana and, for whatever reasons, spent the month of July in Michigan and lost their champion very-pregnant GSD. No clue to as to why they waited until January to try to track her down. Dog has no id whatsoever and although they have AKC paperwork that doesn't prove the dog is there's. Only shows they had a GSD that was AKCed registered cause the dog was ID-free.
And dad was a champion sire.
The part that made them especially furious was all 7 pups having been adopted out as from what they told the shelter the pups from that litter are very valuable (not sure what that is supposed to mean - valuable as breeding stock? or valuable to their hearts which I doubt since it took them 6 months to start calling Michigan shelters).
I have told Molly that she is a high-end dog she has ordered a throne and tiara from PetCo and the red carpet shall arrive early next week. She has Westminister on speed dial in anticipation of outshowing all the dogs there.
She wants a bigger house, bigger car and an allowance to cover her royal needs.
She also wants a nanny to be at her beck and call.
Gotta go...I hear her majesty's bell ringing. |

Wow, that's a weird story. Like you said, if they were so worried why did they wait until January? I hope Molly's adoption was private and they won't come looking for you .
She already has her "court" of ladies in waiting, huh? Too bad they're cats. |

| If these people were so worried, it should not have taken them 6 months to track her down. Their loss - and probably all the pups are better off. |

Sounds like everyone made out for the better in that story.
Honestly, by reading all of your posts, your dog already was the princess even without the background check.
You are a fine doggie mommy!
She is one lucky princess! |

Princess Molly, how cute!!
that is a bizarre story, what I could see happening is they did comb all of the shelters and she got lost in the system. But what is even stranger, is with a valuable dog like that, no tattoos or chips, and travelling with a dog that pregnant? I wonder if she was suppose to have her pups there for some reason. They probably meant valuable inthat they were selling them for $$$, now they probably had to pay a stud fee since there were no pups and usually the thats traded for a puppy
Well the good thing is they all ended up in good homes and Princess Molly found you. |

WOW! Well, IMO if the dog was so high and mighty.... why wasn't it Micro Chipped or Tatooed? Both my girls are micro chipped, wear a collar 24/7 with name tags, vet tag and a microchip id tag. The girls WILL be getting tattooed just to be safe...
And they waited until JANUARY??? Boy that showed their love. I mean, how long does it take YOU to start calling around and looking for your dog? And theya ren't champions???
When Lacy disapeared I freeked out. I called everywhere... still look for her to this day... |
