this may sound stupid...but what breed is he?
A friend of mine has a 5 month old pup (Molly's bestest bud) and he looks very similar to this. He's much smaller though. Coloring/face shape same.
Beau's person thinks he's part shepherd but I don't think there's a lick of shepherd in him. His ears stand partly up but the top 1/2 flop over.
Gotta get a picture of him - but he does look at lot like your pup

They are both South African Boerboels. their a mastiff.

Kabuki is more of the working boerboel. She came from Sara's litter. Precious also came from Sara, but originally came from Colorado.

Thank you.

Its really hard to take photos of Kabuki. She's always on my side. I'll have to get some good photos of her doing some tracking and some pics of her with the cattle.

She's learning all basic commands really well. So far she's mastered Sit, Down, Roll over, paw, stay, come, heel, Off, drop it, leave it, bring it.

Precious is a bit more hard headed. She will sit and down, heel and leave it. But as far as "stay comes... doesn't happen.
