Winnie is my 3 year old Lab. Just now I noticed something red below her nose. When I look closer I noticed it was a bump that was red and bleeding. It isnt gushing blood or dripping blood, it just has fresh blood on it. It isnt a cut because it looks like a buble kind of, but solid i think? Anyway I am freaking out, i dont know what this is or what it could be. Anyone have any guesses? I'll be taking her with me into work tomorow at the hospital so I'll have the doctor look at her, but im just worried and really curious what this is. Here are some pics. Thanks!

| I have no idea but I hope its nothing that can't be easily fixed. Maybe another member will have some thoughts on what it might be. |

Someone on another forum mentioned it could be a pimple, but i have never seen a dog pimple before so im not sure. Im gonna take her in anyway, i just really hope it is a pimple cause that would be the quickest and easiest thing to fix.
Anyone know how dogs get pimples? I know they can get them from plastic bowls but Winnie has never eaten out of one, she is a stainless steal girl...lol.
Im also having problems with my puppy who started limping out of no where yesterday, he is still limping this morning so x rays are probly in order! Geesh, when it rains it pours. |

Let us know what you find out!
I had a foster dog who started limping one morning for no reason. He came out of his crate limping, but he had gone in the night before just fine and slept quietly all night. A day later, he wasn't limping anymore. Go figure?? |

My guess is that is
Let us know what you fing out.a cyst of some sort that can be easily removed if necessary. My old Lab had a similar growth but it was on the soft tissue on the inside of his lip so I had it removed surgically and it never reappeared.
As for your pup it could just be a muscle strain from playing too hard. |

| What kind of dog is your puppy? Front leg or back? Small dogs can get luxating patellas and can limp off and on their back leg/legs. And my weenies will sometimes limp on a front leg if that ligament "pops". |

| my puppy was limping for a couple days once and it seemed to only happen when she stood up and walked after laying/sleeping for a lil while, so I have no idea, what it was, but it went away after 2 days. Keep us posted and let us know what happens with both dogs!! |
