I really hate to post a message here with a misspelled word. A year or so ago I downloaded a free program called Gurunet that I use daily. If you want to check a word anywhere on the internet or in any other document all you do is position your cursor on the word and hit the Alt key. You must be connected to the internet at the time. The program then opens a window and displays the word and its definition if you spelled it correctly, if not, then it gives you a list of words that are close to the one you tried to spell. It's like having a spell check on-line.
The program is now called Answer.com but it still offers a free download for both Windows and Mac at:

P.S. I used it twice in composing this message.
