Heres a photo I took yesterday at the dog park of Duke taking a giant leap into the pond. One think I really dislike about a digital camera is the lag time between pressing the shutter button and the shutter actually firing. I had several photos of a splash before I finally timed one right to catch him in mid air. Dukesmom was throwing the bumper and thankfully Duke will retreive all day long giving me ample opportunity to finally get the photo.
Here's the great leaping Lab.
Surprised

Cool Pic. I am jealous though, look at the wonderful weather you see to have, allowing your dog to swim, currently, it is snowing like mad her in RI this morning.
I would love to be where you are not Dukes Dad!
Enjoy the weather!

PS Typo, I meant to type I want to be where you are NOW, not NOT!
What is the temp for you now?
Its cold here. We have had a mild winter up to date though, I hope it stays that way.
My dogs do like the snow but would rather cuddle up inside on days like this.

Bah! I love the snow. 81 degrees in winter and hotter than heck in the summer in Texas - no thanks! Wink

honeybears,
Someday must have a much more advanced camera than mine although I would love to invest in a digital SLR. One thing I will look for is shutter release speed for sure. This shot of Duke was pure trial and error.
I have a Canon and it works great for most applications but action shots. I could print a whole album of great shots of dog rear ends. Laughing

I think the newer digital cameras have a shorter delay. Mine is several years old and the delay drives me nuts!

Ahh, but will you still be saying that when it is 110 degrees and the doggie paws are getting burnt on the sidewalks?

How cute I think we may have to compare. although I have to say My Lab would be swimming in it before jumping over it.
