So I am going to set up my fish tank 55 gal acrylic and I was wondering what I need to do to clean it before filling and keeping it clean...

You shouldn't have to do anything to clean it before filling it (I've never had an acrylic tank, but I don't think there's a residue or anything like that on them).

Before adding fish, I strongly recommend doing a fishless cycle.

Once you have the tank cycled and properly stocked & filtered (you'll want either 550 gph with HOB filters or around 220gph with canister filters), then you should just have to do weekly water changes (or whatever it takes to keep the nitrAtes below 20), gravel vac with each water change, rinse out the filter media every once in a while (use old tank water, not tap water), and use an algae scrubber to clean the glass (be very carefull picking one out because acrylic scratches easily).
