I want to feed my parakeet a hard bolied egg. i read online that u should boil them for about 30 minutes do they like eggs is it ok to feed it to them?????  |

Also do i have to smash it up or can i just leave it as it ? do i need to take the shell off?  |

Hard boiled egg smashed up with the shell is a great source of extra calcium for birds.
I feed my birds boiled eggs when ther are breeding and i feed them eggs without the shell when they are feeding chicks.

You can feed boiled egg anytime to birds the only problem you may have if you have a female is it may make her become broody and start to lay eggs.
